On April 1st, we asked people to send pictures of their palms. Wonder why?
We would predict their creative abilities by assessing their hand structures, its architecture and curves. Doodling is an art which amalgamates the deft capabilities of the hand with the curiosities of the mind.
Hundreds of our amazing Instagram followers sent us pictures of their palms. After all, it is only natural to desire the answer to this intriguing question, to know if one carries naturally in one’s fist, the sparrow of creativity.
We received pictures from countless beautiful people. For us, it signified that so many today are creative enthusiasts. It only pronounces further the significance of creativity in today’s world, both for professional careers and the blooming mold of the soul.
Here, are a few pictures. Each one remarkable in its uniqueness, in its promises. Each individual palm speaking for itself, its preciousness and individuality soaring in the innumerable possible permutations of the palm lines.
We were to tell them what these lines predicted for them, what augury they invoked. But we had something else planned altogether, something mischievous.
On the first of April, we decided to surprise our wonderful Instagram family with a compiled video of their beautiful hands and a very, let me repeat ‘very’ important lesson!

‘Artists are born that way’ is a myth, my friends. Our perspectives define who we are. Art is a state of being, a state of mind that anyone can achieve with persistence and dedication. We are already all artists and poets in life. Each of us sees things uniquely in a way only we can, no one else can see, feel, think the exact way we do and that is how each of us holds a unique perspective. All that is needed is a little practice to tap this great reservoir within us and let the magic flow.
So, paint, doodle, write, take pictures, cook, plant trees, make apps, write programs and dance away for creativity can bloom anywhere. It merely requires us to start seeing the world more and more every day in different ways.
